I wonder if its out of spite or incompetence

I only get a bill every other month from Columbia via email or mail, even tried to set up automatic payments using my checking account, but got a letter saying "no account found" even though i put in the exact same information for all of my other recurring bills, (granted those are fixed) which to be fair i should know better and check my balance on my own, but it has me wondering if its done intentionally in order to rack up more late charges, or if the company is simply incompetent, not sure which is worse to be honest, thankfully i only have to deal with this company for a few more months, by far the most disorganized group of misfits that I've ever dealt with regarding utilities

Incompetence

Moved back into my house in february, the address is on the bill and have marked bill ,bill to this address, yet they keep sending bill to my exwifes house wtf i dont get it!! another thing i was billed 141.00 for service in june, only have hot water tank on!! Something is deffinetly wrong and needs to be correctly. I will pursue aggressively through puco!!!

Will never be a customer of this company

These people at Columbia gas of Ohio are very incompetent and very unprofessional. My account was closed on this property when I got rid of this property in 2010. Yet they failed to remove my name and closed the account. This property has change owners at least twice already because I checked the county auditors website. Something they should have done but instead harassed me. I recently provided paperwork showing who currently owns the property through my own research. They tell they will closed the account but I still get current statements. Very incompetent company.

I had tried to make payment arrangement said I would be okay until Fri. They cut my *** gas off I run to pay it and the lady never told me it would be 3 business days if I had known I wouldn't have paid it today and then to get put on a waiting list 90 dollars for them to connect mom instead of Tue *** them they are the worse how do they do this when u go out and pay u expect service within that day not 5 days later

When I don't receive my bills for "mounts" at a time, I also make sure not to call them until I'm up to my ears in debt. I also hold them accountable for the failure of government entities to perform their duties in a satisfactory manner.

Columbia gas is a joke. Ours was turned off by mistake. The card used for auto pay was stolen and the payment was obviously declined. With hundreds of other bills you just don't keep track of each ones payments, hence auto pay. Asked me to pay another $215, then reinstatement. 30 degrees in the house and not hot water and my wife has to be at home all day in this. On top of that they said we now have to pay $113 a month for 9months???? There's other options out there now in Franklin county, and Columbia has some competition, at least with billing and service, GET RID OF COLUMBIA GAS. It is completely wrong to turn on someone's heat in the winter, they can keep it in and still collect all money due. I'm switching asap.

Horrible customer service

Back in December I had an issue with my electric and gas. Somehow my accounts in my name were closed. I had no issue resolving this with the electric company, they were great. But Columbia gas just sent me a bill for $500 due in a week and a half. I called them and they are saying the only thing they can do is put me on a repayment plan for 5 years! I did not cancel my service in the first place! Yet I am the one being screwed by someone else’s mixup!

Columbia Gas Technician never showed

I called and scheduled for Columbia Gas to come out to our new home in December to check out mentee as it is making a whistling noise inside house and out. That day they may have come up to the meter, but did not come to our door, so we didnt see them. So, we scheduled for them to come again, for this afternoon. Husband took a half day off work and came home to wait around here for them to show up. They never showed and when heusband called customer service they stated tech had an emergency to go to, but would still come tomournhouse after. So our meter is still making a whistling noise inside our house and nothing has been done. Lost a half days pay waiting for them.

Terrible

No heat. Cannot get anyone to come out to service us. This is a service we pay extra for and they do not stand by it. They tell you some one is on their way, no one shows. Total ripoff.

Waited two full days for service from 8am to 11:30 PM that never came and was lied to repeatedly

After waiting for service all day on 12/6/17 service rep said he called twice and left two messages - LIES NO CALL NO MESSAGES I SAT HERE ALL DAY. SO THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO COME ON 12/7/2017 AND I REPEATEDLY CALLED TO MAKE SURE THEY WERE COMING AND SO SERVICE REP 5031 snuck up on my porch and left a sorry we missed you! sign at 11pm on my doorknob - he never knocked on the door and then snuck away FN POS! NOW ITS DAY 3 OF WAITING ALL DAY!!!!!!!!! SERVICE REP 5031 IS A LYING WORM AND SHOULD BE FIRED.

Expensive

My furnace is gas, nothing else. I pay 67 monthly for the budget plan to heat 5 months. I keep it set at 64 degrees. I also have a heat pump. So i end up paying 1000 - **** for heat 5 months. If i wasnt on the budget plan, the 7 off months i would have to pay 25.14 monthly - thats over $300 year in just fees. I know people in blacksburg and salem who doesnt pay that much for actual usage. (Larger houses, heat, water, & gas dryer & hotter temps 72/75) Time to convert to propane!

Poor service and inexperienced technician

We had a broken thermostat wire which resulted in second heating zone not working. A technician was sent out to repair the issue of why second zone wasn't working. Technician came and changed several parts until the insurance funds were exhausted before he could fix the issue of a simple broken wire which I could have fixed. After all the changes of parts, the boiler started leaking. The same technician came again and changed more parts without fixing the issue. We called guardian 5 times explain what had happened and they refused to be fair in getting someone to come and fix the issue. Their service was not professional and someone in the background was spoon feeding the service rep on what to say. We are not happy because we felt vindicated by whom we've paid through out the years and when service is needed, they turned their back on us. The technician told us we will have to pay him in excess of $600 plus in order for him to come back. This is a racket and guardian refuses to question their designated repair folks. We will take this issue through legal steps.

This issue was resolved by guardian because someone looked at the issue closely and decided to take action. The boiler is fixed and we are happy.

No out of pocket expense from us. Thank you!
