They did the same thing to me. I'm filing a complaint on them.

They made me to pay 240 extra for just $86.

I've been a customer to them since 10 years. They are looting money and for customer service.

I called them disconnect my service 0n 2 /17 /16 some think miss under stand Custumer service terrible they when out disconnect my gas I when home the house was so freeze is was 27 degree I called them they said turn back service charged 87 dollars turn back on I did not tall them disconnected my service on 2 /10 / 16 Custumer service needs too pay attention so terrible

Columbia Gas refund

My gas was cut-off due to Columbia Gas and my bank not linking after 2 yrs of paying the exact same way, they blamed each other. I paid a $597 deposit to get heat back on, i was told this would be refunded after 12 months of good standing. I called in November to make sure, was told it was due to refund on Jan 15th...it is now past Jan 15th and now they refuse to refund, keep in mind they are accruing interest on MY money! Worst company!

Columbia gas disconnected my service in th middle of winter even after i told them i was hospitalized and had no paycheck from not being able to work so i couldn't pay on top of that i had 4 children in the house. They still were not hearing me and insisted that i find a way to come up with the money regardless. There should be a law against that and they should be fined

Colombian gas should be charged with sexual assault for the repetitive fisting I've been taking. This company is a joke i haven't had gas for over a week and you want me to wait another? I'd literally rather cut down trees all night just to warm my cold toes then ever deal with Columbia gas again. 1 out of 10 representatives actually know what they are talking about and the rest are absolutely incoherent and I'd rather gouge my eyes out than even listen to them I've actually changed my dreams of being an architect to starting my own chimney business to take them down Columbia Gas.....I hate you

This company doesn't care about their customers. They only care about the money. They cut our gas and when we want to pay they won't reconnect our gas for a whole week. We only owed $140 not even that much. It's 40° weather this week. We have small children we were only a day late. It's Thanksgiving week and they don't want to reconnect our gas until the next week. This isn't the first time, my husband forgot to pay the bill cause I was out of town and couldn't pay it myself.

A day late? Now be honest.....you were way more then late....here's how this work....bill is sent out say January 6th for $100, you receive bill by the 10th, bill is due by let's say the 25.

No payment made....next bill sent out on February 6th for $100, plus previous $100 equally to $200, you receive this bill by the 10th, and it's due by the 25 again....oops still no payment....guess what....March bill goes out on the 6th, this bill is for 100 in current charges plus the 200 from previous....and this time big ole TERMINATION is written on it.

Bill says you have until March 14th to pay 200 or your services will be disconnected, and the 100 for March consumption is due on the 25th....well here comes the 14th, no payment....so on the 15th here comes the tech...bye-bye gas, hello cold nights....so technically you weren't only one day late....so stop. Pay your bill on time, and your gas wont get shut off!

Columbia Gas Lines Installation Review from Detroit, Michigan

Columbia gas oh hired contractors to work our area putting in new lines etc. We were told we would not get a new meter because ours was inside. Sometime around 11-13-15 they turned off gas from our line to the house. No notice was given.we called a tech was sent out on 11-14-15...he could not resolve the issue. He told us he put in a request to have a crew out on 11-16-15.so far no one has showed up. I called in and spoke with a rep who could not find any information out. Sh put in a request to dispatch but we are still without gas ...this is the 4th day. The worst service ever.

Shut gas off. Set up reconnect, we took the day of. Tech didn't knock or ring door bell. He left and now we have to wait another week for a tech to come back out for the 3rd time to reconnect!! Worste experience in my 50 years. All for $140.

TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*** Columbia Gas. They came and turned my gas off...so I paid the bill IMMEDIATELY! Not only did I pay the past due balance...I had to pay an additional $87 to turn it back on AND an additional $85 for them to light the pilot!!! Then AFTER I made the payment, the *** told me nobody could come until 6 days later. To expedite them coming would be ANOTHER $87 AND it would still be 5 days later. WTF?!?!?!? I asked so I am supposed to go with gas or hot water for a week with two small children?? She told me "Well, I mean, it's less than a week, but Yes!" WTF the *** got me *** up! She wouldn't let me speak to a manager or anything SMH.. they get enjoyment out of this!

These statements about Columbia Gas in reference to bills and shut off notices sounded one sided and fabricated. They always, I mean always offer me a payment plan.

Maybe it is because I paid over 400.00 deposit. But guess what? That's because I pay my bills every other month, my own fault. So I guess all of the people who say they get cut off after a month used to pay their bills more responsibly but may have fallen on hard times.

Well, I am glad I had to pay that giant deposit because I have a lot of wiggle room for payment plans and extensions. Thanks Columbia Gas for making me a responsible adult.

Columbia Gas - Gas Supply Review from North Providence, Rhode Island

On Friday the 11th, one of my customers smelled gas in his basement. This had been going on for sometime and he called Columbia gas, his provider. A service person came and found two small leaks, that explained where the odor was from. The service person closed the inlet to the gas meter, locked it and advised homeowner to call a plumber. He also stated that as soon as the leaks were fixed, he would come back to restore the gas supply to the residence. The plumber came out, fixed the leaks and reported to customer that he could call the service Person back from Columbia. He did that. He was then told he would need a city inspector to retest the gas piping and hang an inspection tag before anything was to be turned on. It was Friday evening at six o'clock at this Time. Plumber then broke the news to customer that city inspectors only work weekdays, and we would not be able to request an inspection until Monday. The plumber called the city inspector Monday and never got a return phone call. Tuesday morning at 7:30am the plumber was at the city inspectors office. He made an appointment and had the inspection and inspection tag hung on the locked out gas meter by 9:30 am. The plumber then called Columbia gas, informed them of the situation and was told they would be there today. When he enquired if they could be a little more specific ( morning or afternoon) they said simply No. Ok. We wait. And wait and wait. At 2:00 pm plumber calls again. Still no idea what time but definitely today. Plumber calls again at 6:00 pm. Same lack of concern or any indication what time someone may be there. The telephone Service writer also states that it could be any time up to midnight and that unless someone is there they will leave. Did I say this would take about five minutes if we didn't want to rush. If we acted like this in the private sector we would have zero customers. Columbia Gas is a disappointment, to say the very least.
